Jon Kern's Presentation, September 11, 2010

Learn reading strategies and activities to use with PWImpact! to motivate low-achieving secondary students. Teach your students that reading is like "Climbing a Mountain" and how Questioning, Clarifying, Summarizing and Predicting light their way as they rise to the top. Explore differentiated warm-ups as a practical way to get everyone in the room involved. Wake up your students with the "2-Minute Explosion of Knowledge" and blow them away with the "Vocabulary Balloon Game." Seeing these activities and more will get your creative juices flowing and make you wonder what other simple solutions there are for motivating your students.
